Frequently Asked Questions

What's A "Network Seat?"

EstiMate allows you to create unlimited users. For example, let's say Bill, Mary and Tony are all in the shop and all use EstiMate. However, Bill and Mary share a terminal in the production department, and Tony is in the back office.

In this scenario, there are three users - Bill, Mary, and Tony - but only two network seats - the production department and the back office.

This shop would choose a 2 network seat plan from the chart above.

Can I Really Install EstiMate On As Many Computers As I Want To?

Yes. EstiMate will install and run on as many machines as you wish. There are no limits on the number of installs you have.

However, you can only connect to your network data files with as many machines as the network seats your plan includes.

If I Cancel My Plan, Will I Lose My Work?

Absolutely not. EstiMate is desktop software and your data is always on your computer. If you cancel your plan your data will remain intact and EstiMate will simply go into a read-only mode wherein you can see everything you have ever done, and print reports, but not create anything new.

Do I Have To Be Online To Use EstiMate?

Nope. EstiMate is desktop software (installed on your computer). Once a month (or year, if you are paying annually) it will silently download a new license file and keep on going.

If you don't have that computer connected to the internet, we can easily email you your license file.

Do I Have To Sign A Long Term Contract?

Of course not. EstiMate pricing plans are month to month, or annual. You can cancel your plan at any time and not be charged again.

What's The Difference Between EstiMate Professional And EstiMate Enterprise?

The short answer is that EstiMate Professional contains all the core job quoting features, and EstiMate Enterprise adds shop management features including purchase orders, job tracking, invoicing, work orders, etc.

The long answer can be found on the editions page of the EstiMate tour .

What About Refunds?

If you cancel you won't be charged again, but you are responsible for whatever charges have already been incurred for the current billing period.
